UCI has over 20 active groups working on different aspects of RNA. The mission of the UCI RNA Club is to provide an open forum for discussion of ongoing research at UCI. Special emphasis is placed on providing a foundation for the formation of collaborations between labs at UCI. In addition, the UCI RNA Club is designed to enhance the student experience by providing them with additional opportunities for public speaking, the defense of ideas, and the expansion of their own research into other areas of RNA biology. UCI RNA Club has been financially supported by the RNA Society since 2018.
